Amy DiRuzzo, DPT
Doctorate of Physical Therapy
Amy grew up in St. Louis playing a variety of sports including volleyball, diving, gymnastics and running. A knee injury in college first introduced her to the physical therapy profession. A successful
outcome and desire to help others achieve similar results led Amy to pursue a career as a therapist. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999. She continued her education at Regis University attaining her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is currently working towards a Pilates Rehabilitation Certification. Amy has practiced physical therapy for 10 years in orthopedic rehabilitation settings in Colorado. She has extensive training in manual therapy of the spine and extremities, muscular stabilization and postural re-education. Her clinical expertise is the management of running and sports injuries to the lower back and lower extremities. Amy takes a whole-body approach in order to treat the underlying cause of injury rather than just the symptoms. She combines manual therapy with individualized and specific exercise programs to correct posture and movement dysfunction. Amy strongly advocates functional exercise to promote a quick return to peak performance and avoidance of re-injury. Amy loves all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer including road biking, hiking and skiing. She also enjoys competing in triathlons and spending time with her husband Craig, their dog Lucky and cat Stormy.

Jessica Von Duerring
Certified Pilates Instructor
In 2009, Jessica underwent a 12-level spinal fusion to correct scoliosis. The surgery, which helped straighten out her spine and required a deep dissection of muscles along her back and shoulders, took a tremendous toll on her strength and mobility. As a result, Jessica was eager to turn to Pilates to restore her overall physical functioning. Even though she had done Pilates prior to her surgery, it was after her operation that she realized its true power, and was soon inspired to obtain her Pilates certification through Pilates Academy International to show others the benefits. Through Pilates, Jessica has seen her back pain, posture, balance, strength and flexibility improve drastically. Jessica is particularly passionate about using Pilates as a means to help those who are preparing for or recovering from surgery, recuperating from an injury, or just dealing with chronic pain issues. With Pilates, Jessica believes there are modifications for every fitness level, every body type and every physical condition – making it a universal fitness regime to benefit everyone. As a result of Jessica’s personal experiences, she possesses a solid understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and postural issues, and a strong command of the exercise repertoire. She continues to expand her Pilates education through various workshops and courses.
A graduate of the University of Denver, Jessica works in public relations full-time and enjoys snowboarding, hiking with her dog, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
